Problem exporting a new preset with imported proxies

Hi. I have trouble exporting a new preset which I've filled with assets previously exported from 3ds max. Basically I've opened certains models in 3ds max, exported them as Vray scenes, then imported them to Rhino as Vray assets and then used them to populate the plane. So this actually works, but when I try to save the preset for lated use with materials and models checkmark selected the program gives me an error, which I attached below.

joringis Hi, would you mind to provide more info? Please refer to post how to report bugs and use it as template and fill data which i need to verify this. Without details of your system I won't be able to reproduce this issue. The thing behind this issue looks like theres some problem with second instance od Rhino launched in background to export each separate asset however I need exact build of you Rhino version. This is happening always or ocasionaly?

Rhino Version / Rhino 6 SR35 2021-8-10 (Rhino 6, 6.35.21222.17001
System: Win 10
Vray: Vray for rhino 6 5.20.02 02 12064242)

I used these 3ds max models: https://globeplants.com/products/bundle-13-grass-lawn-3d-model
Exported them from 3ds max to rhino using Vrayscene export
Loaded them to Rhino as vray proxies
Then scatered them with rhino nature, which worked fine, better then expected. Also the cleanup image after rendering also took lees time then with the models provided in the Rhino Nature library.
But As I'm trying to save the preset the error pops up.

I tried closing down the file and opening and trying to save it again, and a different error poped up.

joringis Ok, thanks for the info. As I understand you are preparing Globe Plants assets and presets for them to sell? If so please send me an email at support@rhinonature.com and I will guide you how to proceed with this as there is special way to create libraries for content creators.

Of course this bug will be tracked and fixed anyway.

D-W No, I'm just tinkering with the program and exploring additional assets for my own purposes. I do wish to know about additional library presets that I can purchase.

joringis Ah. Ok, as far as I know, Globe Plants are preparing their assets for Rhino and there was a small talk with them about RN presets meanwhile, your approach as a user is good, best possible, as proxies are the best solution out there. I will investigate this issue asap.

@joringis It took too long on my side to figure it out but now I know that this bug is specific to your system I did many tests with preset exports including names, thumbnails, descriptions, materials, models and maps, and still exporting models works best in another rhino launched in the background. Everything works fine I was able to export from v5 and render it on v8 without problems.

In your case, the issue lies in a corrupted registry, as RN relies on Rhino TypeLib registers from which it is able to run new Rhino instances on the system level and do the whole automation process during the export and .3dm file saving. So if those entries are missing then RN cannot instantiate remote Rhino in the background falling back to the DBNull library. According to this reinstalling/fixing the Rhino install should solve the case, plus I would be careful next time running "PC Cleaning" software as this is the most probable reason why you are missing those entries in the registry.
